ROUTE 10: FAHAHEEL BAZAAR

ROUTE 10: FAHAHEEL BAZAAR

Tuesday, 8 Nov 2016

Fahaheel Bazaar located in Al-Daboos Street, Block 11, Fahaheel, Al-Ahmadi.

Like China Town, Fahaheel specializes in “Name-brand” purses, watches and perfumes along with items for those searching for things Middle Eastern–local perfumes, dishdashas (the traditional garment for a Muslim man), abayas (the long black robe traditional muslim women wear over their clothing), niqab/burqas (a face covering to accompany the abaya) and simple Indian dresses. Also similar to China Town, a good haggler can always get a better price.

The whole area is covered and air-conditioned, although it’s still hotter than blue blazes. The path within the Fahaheel Bazaar leads in a giant circle, surrounding the buyer with shops on both their right and left. Amidst the shops, a small street vender offers a cup of hot corn kernels with a choice of butter, salt, pepper, lemon juice and cumin.

Cycling

I cycled with my buddy, Hairul after pushing his big bike, BMW GS-1150 had a battery flatted at Mama Lala Restaurant (Indonesian Food). I'm just using foldie and Hairul with his Giant MTB.
Hairul and I at traffic light.

We cycled from Mangaf Block 4 with nice weather heading to Fahaheel Beach. Quick windy.

Al-Qout Mall at night, full with light at fountain side.

Route 10 in google map.

We went to Fahaheel Park. I saw Rotana very shinning from there. It situated opposite to Fahaheel Bazaar.
We stopped at Fahaheel Bazaar for a while.

Sham Al-Deera Resturant, one of famous restaurant among Malaysia with special dish, "Chicken 65", a spicy, deep-fried chicken dish originating from Chennai, India.

The flavor of the dish can be attributed to red chillies but the exact set of ingredients for the recipe can vary. It can be prepared using boneless or bone-in chicken and is usually served with onion and lemon garnish. Vegetarian variants like "Paneer 65" or "Gobi 65" use paneer (cottage cheese) or cauliflower instead. While the name "Chicken 65" is universally used to refer to the dish, there are many different theories claiming its origins.

My foldie..

We had a cup of hot Shai Halib (Teh with milk)

We went back and reached my house at 11:00 am. Very cold; I though about 20 degree C.
